Bruker AXS Establishes New X-Ray Life-Sciences Laboratory For Protein Crystallization and Macromolecular Structure Determination
Bruker AXS, Inc. announced the establishment of a new laboratory in Delft, equipped with the latest state-of-the-art X-ray instrumentation and technologies for the determination of 3D crystal structures of small molecules and proteins. This laboratory will incorporate robotic facilities for the high-throughput preparation of protein crystallization screens, combined with the Crystal Farm(TM) incubation and imaging system for crystal growth.
Dr. Eric Hovestreydt, Managing Director of Bruker AXS B.V. in Delft, explained: "The X-ray Life-Sciences Laboratory will continuously improve our X-ray instrumentation, software and methods through close collaborations with and feedback from the crystallographers using it. The X-ray Life-Sciences Laboratory is part of our continuing commitment to develop state-of-the-art tools for structural proteomics. By further strengthening our ties with the structural biology community in Europe and beyond, this lab will drive the development of new applications and technologies. We hope to push the boundaries of existing technologies in structural proteomics and crystallography through extensive collaborations with leading investigators."
