05-Nov-2004

After obtaining the final approval of the European Commission and in order to comply with its requirements, Air Liquide has just completed the sale to Tyczka, a German energy and industrial gas supplier, of some CO2 activities.

This divestment announced on September 21st is related to the acquisition by Air Liquide of Messer Griesheim assets in Germany. The transaction has been based on a sales multiple slightly higher than the acquisition price multiple.

The sale to Tyczka concerns activities located at Burgbrohl, near Cologne as well as in the southwest (Ludwigshafen) and southeast of Germany.
