MDS Sciex Signs Distribution Agreement with Axel Semrau GmbH & Co. for German Market
"We are pleased to have Axel Semrau as our distributor for the NanoLC product line for Germany and welcome their expertise and customer focus in the life sciences industry," said Murray Wigmore, MDS Sciex Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
About the New NanoLC System
The 1D NanoLC system was first launched on June 8, 2003 during the American Society of Mass Spectrometry conference in Montreal. The system is based on Eksigent Technologies' Microfluidic Flow Control (MFC) technology, which uses rapid feedback to an electronically controlled pressure source to maintain precise nanoscale flow rates. The NanoLC system does not require flow splitting, as is necessary with currently available technologies for nanoscale chromatography. In addition to being a stand-alone product, the NanoLC system can also be used in LC/MS identification of peptides for proteomics studies. The system provides significant enhancements in detection sensitivity and reproducibility, while simultaneously improving ease of setup, operation, and maintenance. The NanoLC system will include a complete line of instruments and consumables.
