DEKRA streamlines international sales activities

Erik Wakolbinger heads Group-wide key account management

25-Jan-2012 - Germany

DEKRA is reorganising how it works with its major customers globally. Erik Wakolbinger (44) will lead Group-wide key account management (KAM) and coordinate DEKRA’s sales activities across the Automotive, Industrial and Personnel business units.

DEKRA is thus setting a course for stronger organic growth as part of the <<DEKRA 2015>> corporate strategy. The central coordination of key account management is aimed to deepen business relationships with existing major customers, establish new relationships and optimise internal cooperation at the national and international level.

At the beginning of 2012, Erik Wakolbinger took on the management of global key account management in Stuttgart. In this function he will report directly to the Chairman of the Management Board of DEKRA e.V. and DEKRA SE, Stefan Kölbl. Erik Wakolbinger has worked at DEKRA since 2005, and since 2008 he has been head of sales and key account management at DEKRA Automobil GmbH.

Wakolbinger's international team will be comprised of key account managers from three DEKRA business units – Automotive, Industrial and Personnel. The members of the KAM team are internationally successful sales experts and will be available for major customers to contact should they have any queries.
