04-Apr-2011 - Germany

Effective March 31, GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft successfully concluded the takeover of Bock Kältemaschinentechnik GmbH, who are headquartered at Frickenhausen near Stuttgart in Germany. Like the recent acquisition Convenience Food Systems the result of Bock will be consolidated for the remaining nine months of 2011 in GEA’s statements. On a pro forma basis, however, GEA will in the future disclose key figures of the acquired business for the whole year. Revenues of Bock during the prior business year amounted to more than EUR 70 million.

With the acquisition of Bock, GEA has added to its group a leading supplier of open and semi-hermetic piston compressors for stationary and transport-related cooling applications. The company will be integrated into the GEA Refrigeration Technologies Segment.
