Sachtleben announces price increase for titanium dioxide

24-Sep-2008 - Germany

Sachtleben announced price increases for all grades of titanium dioxide products effective October 1, 2008. This price adjustment will partially balance the ongoing cost increases of raw materials, energy and transport. The increase applies to all titanium dioxide products from Duisburg, Germany and Pori, Finland.

Sachtleben increases the prices for all titanium dioxide products (rutile and anatase) in Europe by 80 € per ton and on US dollar based markets outside Europe by 150 USD per metric ton. Customers in all market segments including man-made fibers, cosmetics, food, paper, plastics, packaging inks, paints and coatings, will be affected by this increase.
