Millennium Chemicals Announces Price Increases For Titanium Dioxide Products
(Red Bank, New Jersey) - Millennium Chemicals has announced price increases on the sale of all titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold to all end-use market applications in all world areas.
Effective March 1, 2002, Millennium will increase TiO2 prices by: USD $0.05 per pound in the U.S.; CAN $0.10 per pound in Canada; EUR 150/mt in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa; USD $100/mt in Asia/Pacific; AUS $150/mt in Australia; USD $100/mt in Latin America; and USD $50/mt in Brazil.
The increases were announced to begin to restore margins, which have become unacceptably poor after more than a year of rapid and excessive decreases in all world areas.
