H&R WASAG increases capacities for non-labelled mineral oil specialities

03-Mar-2008

After many years of negotiation, H&R WASAG AG has succeeded in significantly expanding its capacities for non-labelled mineral oil specialities (especially plasticizers for the rubber and tyre industries). H&R WASAG has agreed a long-term production partnership with a partner in South-East Asia that already belongs to the H&R production network.

"This agreement represents an important part of our Asia strategy in the fast-growing South-Asia region, and also underlines H&R`s commitment to supply its main markets worldwide with environment-friendly specialities at competitive conditions," commented Gert Wendroth, CEO of H&R WASAG AG.

Both Partners have agreed to keep the details of the agreement confidential. Production has already commenced and will be continuously expanded in the coming years in line with growing demand. "For H&R WASAG, this capacity expansion is an important step in the company's internationalisation strategy. Although Revenues and Earnings from the foreign business already oscillates around 25 % additional growth steps are going to follow in Asia and other attractive growth regions in the foreseeable future," said Wendroth.
