27-Feb-2008

PolyOne Corporation announced the opening of its third color development center in China, located in the city of Tianjin. PolyOne currently has state-of-the- art color development centers in Shanghai and Shenzhen.

The Tianjin color development center will be used to develop new color and additive solutions that meet customer-specific needs, in addition to facilitating faster, more efficient new product introductions in North China and Korea. PolyOne's customers will be able to capitalize on the center's advanced technology to develop color solutions for new markets and applications.

"This latest color development center exemplifies PolyOne's commitment to deliver specialized services and solutions that create value for customers by helping them bridge the gap between concept and production," said Dr. Willie Chien, vice president and general manager of Color and Engineered Materials - Asia. "PolyOne is able to provide an advantage to customers that goes far beyond simply matching colors and providing products."

Through the resources of this color development center, PolyOne will assist customers with understanding both color and polymer technology in an environment that stimulates creativity, innovation and speed. Prototyping on production-like machines enables customers to develop unique products quickly and efficiently to serve fast-growing industries such as food and beverage packaging, cosmetics and personal care packaging, and wire and cable.
