QuestAir to supply PSA to recover by-product hydrogen from petrochemical plant
QuestAir Technologies Inc. announced that it has received an order valued at approximately CDN $0.7 million for a QuestAir H-3100 pressure swing adsorption ("PSA") system to recover waste hydrogen from a petrochemical plant in Odessa, Texas.
QuestAir's PSA will recover hydrogen from a by-product stream, producing purified hydrogen for re-use in the petrochemical plant. In addition, excess product hydrogen from the recovery process will be compressed for sale to third party 'merchant' customers.
The H-3100 will replace an existing 'conventional' PSA plant that has reached the end of its useful life. A leading industrial gas company will integrate QuestAir's PSA with compression and storage equipment at a facility adjacent to the petrochemical plant.
