Rhodia signs the Responsible Care Global Charter
Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, Chief Executive Officer of Rhodia, signed the Responsible Care Global Charter during a ceremony organized by the French Chemical Industry Association (UIC). The aim of the Responsible Care Global Charter - a worldwide initiative launched by the International Council of Chemical Associations - is to go beyond the principles of "Responsible Care," namely: health, safety and environmental performance. The enhanced management of product life cycles, greater transparency backed up by the appraisal and publication of environmental performance are all key factors of the charter, and prerequisites for a responsible chemical industry.
The signature of this charter forms part of Rhodia's Sustainable Development approach launched more than twenty years ago in the form of a Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) policy that has gradually become a key area for continuing progress and performance in line with the intensification of the Group's commitments in favor of the environment and society as a whole.
