Stork signed contract for acquisition of Technical Services department of Akzo Nobel Base Chemicals

The contract for the acquisition of the Technical services department of Akzo Nobel Base Chemicals on the Botlek industrial site near Rotterdam by Stork Industry Services was signed. The intention of the parties is for the acquisition to take effect from 1 June. The conditions of the acquisition are not being disclosed.

The strategy of Stork Industry Services includes expanding and strengthening its maintenance and modification activities in the process industry. Key elements of this strategy are the building of long-term customer relationships and further development and strengthening of core competences. According to Stork, the planned acquisition is an excellent fit for this strategic direction.

The Technical Services department employs approximately 80 people. No jobs will be lost as a result of the acquisition.
