Italian Finchimica to cooperate with China on Pendimethalin

28-Feb-2005

Finchimica is preparing itself in facing competition on Pendimethalin globally, by exchanging technology with Chinese companies to further improve its own product competitiveness. "We are entering discussions to exchange complementary technologies with the aim of strengthening our global market position." says Dr Ravetta, R&D Director of Finchimica.

Pendimethalin has overtaken Trifluralin as a preemergent herbicide, and "we are seeing growing opportunities in the European cereals market as a grass resistance breaker, in the US in crops and non crop applications, and in South America", says Dr Naponiello, President and C.E.O. of Finchimica. "A good cost position from raw materials to the finished product is key to commercial success in an ever globalising market, and joint efforts will continue to improve our position."
