Vinamul Polymers Announces Sales Control on Acrylic Emulsion Polymers
A business unit of National Starch and Chemical Company, Vinamul Polymers is implementing the sales control program because of shortages in the availability of key raw material used in the manufacture of its acrylic emulsion products. The supply of monomers, ethyl-acrylate in particular, has reached a critical point as several global suppliers have implemented sales allocations for these materials, according to Vinamul Polymers officials.
Vinamul's sales control is expected to remain in effect throughout 2005, although Vinamul is working strenuously to locate additional material both within the continental U.S. and elsewhere. Should this search be successful and result in some relief, all customers will be advised immediately.
