NOVA Chemicals to open Asian Operating Center in Shanghai
NOVA Chemicals Corporation today announced plans to establish an Asian Operating Center in Shanghai, China, to support the company's growth strategy for Asian markets.
With Shanghai's access to emerging markets as well as advanced business and communication capabilities, NOVA Chemicals' Asian Operating Center will be ideally located to provide improved support throughout Asia. The new office will be led by Chris Hogan, Director - NOVA Chemicals Asia, and will house sales, marketing and business development personnel.
"We look forward to expanding NOVA Chemicals' business in Asia with the help of existing sales team members and new staff in Shanghai," said Hogan. "In addition to supporting our current polymer business in the region, we will accelerate sales of NOVA Chemicals' performance products, including SURPASS® polyethylene, DYLARK® automotive engineering resins, and ARCEL® moldable foam for packaging."
With the opening of the Asian Operating Center early 2005, NOVA Chemicals will have a total of four Operating Centers, with locations in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. The company will maintain a sales office in Tokyo, Japan, as well as personnel in Singapore and Beijing, China.
