Tosaf to increase production capacity to 80,000 tons per year
Tosaf, a globally active supplier of compounds and masterbatches, will increase its production capacity to a total of 80 kt/y by the end of 2004. For this purpose the company has purchased five new Leistritz extrusion lines. One line is designed to produce speciality compounds and additive masterbatches at Tosaf Compounds Ltd., Afula/Israel. Four lines are designed to produce masterbatches - two at Tosaf Ltd., Kfar Yona/Israel, and two at Colloids Ltd., Merseyside/UK. With this installation the company will further increase its ability to answer specific customer demands worldwide.
The Tosaf Group, founded in 1985, today is a joint-venture between Megides Holding and the Ravago Group. With 420 employees at seven production sites in Belgium, Germany, Israel, Turkey and UK the company produces raw materials for the plastics processing industry. Tosaf holds a leading position in the plastics industry and constantly increases its presence in world markets. This is performed by establishing new plants and acquiring existing operations. The expected turnover of the group in 2004 is EUR 110 million.
Tosaf's product range covers speciality additive and colour masterbatches, UV-/light stabilizers, flame retardants and customized additives as well as additives for BOPP, agricultural and industrial films, and mineral filled, glass fibre reinforced and coloured compounds tailor-made to customer requirements.
