Cabot superior MicroPowders Names Greg Romney General Manager of Electrochemical Materials

Cabot Corporation announced the appointment of Greg Romney to the position of General Manager, Electrochemical Materials, Cabot Superior MicroPowders (CSMP). In his new position, Mr. Romney will direct the development, manufacture and supply of advanced materials to the fuel cell and battery industries.

"We are pleased to have Greg join us," said Mark Hampden-Smith, General Manager of CSMP. "Greg's demonstrated knowledge of the sector and talent in developing new, commercially successful businesses is ideal for this role in further establishing CSMP's leadership position in the fuel cell and battery industries."

Mr. Romney has more than twenty years of business experience in energy and technology industries. Prior to this appointment at CSMP, Mr. Romney was with Chevron Texaco Technology Ventures in Houston, where he served as Vice President for Fuel Cells and Fuel Processing, a business he started and matured over several years. He brings extensive relationships in the energy, automotive and fuel cell sector. Mr. Romney holds an MBA degree from Duke University in North Carolina and a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola College of Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
