LabVelocity launches web-based data entry tool offering life science suppliers advanced functionality

(www.labvelocity.com), a provider of software and Internet-based data and asset management services, announced the release of a new Web-based data entry tool specifically designed for their research supply customers. Suppliers will now be able to update product descriptions and pricing on LabVelocity’s public Web site. The data entry tool is one of several new tools providing advanced functionality new to the life science supply industry.

Life science suppliers can have their products entered into LabVelocity’s Universal Product Catalog on a per product basis. Once entered into the Catalog, suppliers can elect to use the data entry tool, which allows them to update pricing and product description as needed. In addition to basic tools for maintaining data on www.labvelocity.com, LabVelocity provides advanced content management tools to enrich product data with scientific attributes and associate products with related content, such as protocols and reference materials. These tools also permit suppliers to retrieve their product information as XML-tagged data for use on their own Web site, as well as for use with many other platforms.
