Berghof expands production for PTFE

02-Jun-2016 - Germany

On June 1, 2016, work commenced on construction of a new production hall with adjacent office building in Eningen, near Reutlingen in Germany’s South-West. This will create one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities for processing polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) in close proximity to the company’s headquarters. The facility will provide Berghof Fluoroplastics with 2,440 m² of gross floor space with the potential for winning new customers from Germany and abroad.

Berghof GmbH

(from l. to r.) Alexander Schweizer (mayor of Eningen), Stefan Stemmer (Managing Director of Berghof GmbH), Georg und Johannes Zundel (shareholders of Berghof GmbH), Helmut Hirth (architect), Ulrich Maxim Zundel (shareholder of Berghof GmbH) und Oliver Walter (Managing Director of Berghof Fluoroplastic Technology GmbH)

With an investment volume in the region of € 4 million, this is at the same time the biggest single investment in the company’s recent history and thus a vote of confidence on the part of the owners in the group’s performance, and a commitment to Eningen as a location. The buildings are scheduled for completion in Q1 2017.
