Strem and Purolite sign distribution agreement
Agreement covers distribution of Chelating Resins, Enzyme Carrier Resins and Immobilized Enzymes
As a result of this agreement, Strem Chemicals has become a global distributor of over 40 Purolite products. This includes enzyme carrier resins and immobilized enzymes, which can be used in the production of cosmetics, drugs, fine chemicals, biofuels and many other applications. In addition, Strem will now carry a range of Purolite’s chelating resins to be used for the removal of metals from various solutions. These resins also allow the possibility for metal recovery due to an increase in the concentration of metals on the chelation resin.
“The quality and consistency of Purolite’s products align well with Strem’s mission to provide high quality chemicals to our customers”, said Dr. Ephraim Honig, Chief Executive Officer at Strem. “Purolite products offer improved outcomes for scientists and biomanufacturers across various industries. The addition of these materials will help to expand the scope of our product line, and allow us to reach a larger market within the biocatalyst and enzyme development fields.”
Dr Alessandra Basso, Lifetech™ Manager for Purolite says, “We are pleased to announce Strem as a global distributor for our Lifetech™ range of enzyme carrier and immobilized enzyme products. With this agreement we will further expand and strengthen Purolite’s presence as a leading manufacturer of high quality resins, continuing our mission of utilizing a distinguished history of technical expertise to provide customers worldwide with innovative, effective solutions.”
