Dr. Wolfgang Weber new head of BASF’s Brussels office
As of July 1, 2011, Dr. Wolfgang Weber (44) will assume as Vice President responsibility for BASF’s Brussels office in Belgium. His predecessor Johanna Coleman, Vice President, has been appointed head of „Wissensfabrik (Knowledge Factory) – Unternehmen für Deutschland e.V.“ as of May 1, 2011. Weber will coordinate the dialog between the European institutions and the company in Brussels. Weber will report to Elisabeth Schick, Senior Vice President Communications and Government Relations.

BASF SE
Weber studied chemistry in Frankfurt/Germany and Cambridge/UK from 1987 to 1992 and obtained his doctorate from the University of Zurich/Switzerland in 1996. After a postdoc at the University of California, San Diego/USA, he worked for the German chemical industry association (VCI). Since 2006, he has been head of the energy and climate policy unit within BASF’s Communications and Government Relations department.
