Dow Coating Materials Announces Price Increases for Acrylic, Styrene and Vinyl Polymers in Middle East, Africa and Turkey

29-Mar-2010 - Switzerland

Dow Coating Materials will implement a price increase in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey for all emulsions sold to the architectural and industrial coatings markets. The increase, effective April 1 2010, or as contracts allow, will affect all acrylic, styrene-acrylic emulsions, and vinyl based emulsions. For all acrylic products the prices will increase by 80-110 $/MT, for styrene acrylic 120-150 $/MT and vinyl based emulsions by 50-80 USD/MT.

According to the company, the increases are necessitated by the continued cost escalation of key raw materials used to manufacture these products.
