Univar and Diastatische Producten join forces in food and drink markets
Univar will distribute and help develop malt extract products in Belgium, Poland and the Middle East
Univar announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Diastatische Producten to develop the growing market for malt extracts in Belgium, Poland and the Middle East.
Leiden-based Diastatische Producten manufactures “all natural” malt products for use in a variety of food and drink products, including bakery goods, breakfast cereals, chocolate bars and instant drinks. Malt extracts are available in liquid and powder forms and provide natural colour, flavour and an improved texture to the final product. Poland is one of Europe's fastest-growing markets for such malt-based products, while Belgium is becoming increasingly important for the bakery and chocolate markets.
