Dow Europe Announces Price Increase for Polyols and Isocyanates in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent
Effective 15 January 2010, or as contract terms permit, Dow Polyurethanes, a business group of Dow Chemical Company and its affiliates, will increase prices in the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent for its polyurethanes raw materials. Prices for toluene Diisocyanate (TDI) will increase by 250 USD/MT, and prices for flexible polyols and Methyl Diphenyl Isocyanate (MDI) by 150 USD/MT.
“These increases are necessary to keep business viable in the continued rise of feedstock and energy costs,” says Sudhir Shenoy, regional product manager for Dow Polyurethane Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region. “This high cost environment has created an unsustainable situation and we must restore our margins to continue providing quality products and services.”
