Food, fuels and face creams on chemical engineering group’s agenda
Novel approaches to formulation: from concept to product was staged in conjunction with the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Formulation Science and Technology group at the University of Birmingham. Guest speakers included representatives from Johnson Matthey, GSK, Unilever and the Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation. The event was Chaired by IChemE’s Hilda Coulsey and the RSC’s David Higgins.
IChemE Director of Policy, Andrew Furlong says: “The new group will bring together professionals working in the formulated products field and act as their focal point and forum. The group will also raise awareness of the role of chemical engineers and other professionals in formulation: Foods, fuels and face creams are just three product areas that rely on formulation technology and chemical engineering expertise.”
Membership of the group is open to anyone with an interest in formulation.
