BASF increases prices for methylamines and derivatives in Europe

With immediate effect , BASF is increasing the sales prices for methylamines and key methylamine derivatives in Europe as follows:

Monomethylamine (MMA): + 60 €/t

Dimethylamine (DMA): + 90 €/t

Trimethylamine (TMA): + 100 €/t

Dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA): + 90 €/t

Dimethylformamide (DMF): + 60 €/t

Dimethyethanolamine (DMEOA): + 70 €/t

Methyldiethanolamine (MDEOA): + 80 €/t

Dimethylacetamide (DMAc): + 50 €/t

The price increase shall apply to current supply agreements as soon and as far as allowed under their terms and conditions.

BASF operates three methylamine plants in Ludwigshafen, Germany; Nanjing, China; and Camaçari, Brazil, with a total combined capacity of 169,000 metric tons. BASF recently announced plans to build another methylamine plant at its Verbund site in Geismar, USA. Methylamine derivatives are produced in Ludwigshafen, Geismar, Nanjing and Camaçari.
