There are many myths circulating about polymer-based HPLC columns.

This whitepaper shows the performance and the wide range of possible applications of RP and HILIC co-lumns. Many separations can be realized with mobile phases that are much more simply composed. Since there are no silanol groups, there is no unwanted interaction and the co-lumns have real a pH stability even in alkaline conditions. This leads to full flexibility for me-thod development and a longer lifespan for the columns.
