In the event of an IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) fire, the container melts in less than a minute; the flammable liquid escapes, immediately catches fire, and ignites the entire exposed surface.
In contrast to conventional spill containment pallets, the BWCon 1.400 Fire Protection Trough offers safe storage of flammable liquids in IBCs in this situation. It prevents the spread of fires thanks to high galvanized steel side walls that shield the fire.
The integrated flame arrester made of stainless steel mesh directs the liquid into the lower containment area, separating most of the flammable liquid from the fire. In addition to the 1,000 liters of the IBC, the BWCon 1.400 can also hold 400 liters of extinguishing agent. It is suitable for production facilities where flammable liquids are used, such as in the (petro)chemical, food production, or pharmaceutical industries and many others. The BWCon 1.400 Fire Protection Trough is FM-certified and meets the highest safety standards. It can be used mobile with the help of a forklift and is “made in Germany”.
