The SmartLab® SE is a highly versatile multipurpose X-ray diffractometer XRD with built-in intelligent guidance. It offers continued refinement of the original ease of use features that enabled the original SmartLab to receive the R&D 100 Award in 2006. It features automatic alignment, component recognition, cross beam optics and advanced photon counting hybrid pixel array detectors (HPAD).

 HyPix-400 2D HPAD Detector

The HyPix-400, a semiconductor hybrid pixel array detector was specifically designed for multipurpose X-ray diffractometers. Its large active area, high angular resolution and ultra-high dynamic range make it the perfect, affordable, 2D detector solution for a large variety of applications, including powder and thin film diffraction.

Automatic Alignment

Guidance software will walk users through changing optical components and attachments. SmartLab Studio II Software

SmartLab Studio II is now Rigaku’s XRD software that is used across their XRD portfolio and covers everything from measurement to analysis.

  • Seamless operations from measurement to reporting
  • Covers basic XRPD applications, e.g. qualitative, quantitative, crystallite size, Rietveld analysis, as well as advanced analysis, e.g. X-ray reflectivity, HRXRD, pole figure and PDF.
  • Clustering analysis and Data Visualization supports various data treatments
  • Supports FDA 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity
  • Network dongle provides software licenses maximum 10 PCs
  • User Guidance guides instrument operation for beginners and experts - suggests the optimal hardware configuration and settings for specific application measurements
