The HPR-20 OEMS is specifically designed to monitor electrochemical products from battery and fuel cells. Low capillary flow rates allow product gas dilution to be kept to a minimum. Heated capillaries ensure water and solvent vapour are maintained in the vapour phase. The 1/16” capillary end piece connects simply to outlet ports of ‘off the shelf’ cells and can easily be adapted to custom cells or connections. Closed ‘Quick Connects’ allow cells to be filled in oxygen free atmosphere before connection to the capillary. The supplied software helps select appropriate masses for analysis and, using a built-in library, automatically deconvolutes the mass spectrum before real time calculation and display of composition. If interfaced with a potentiostat, composition can be plotted in real time v’s potential and current. The standard system with 200 amu mass range has a detection capability to less than 100 parts-per-billion. The optional 3F series 300 amu system offers extended detection levels to 5 parts-per-billion and enhanced contamination resistance.
