The newly developed CHROMIMAGE® 3X from AR2i is a digital photograph acquisition system, consisting of a front-opening unit, allowing the easy insertion of chromatographic plates on a tray.
Inside the unit, three types of lighting are available: visible light, UV 254 nm or 366 nm.
A digital camera is used for the acquisition of colour images. Everything is controlled using two applications installed on a PC type computer running Windows 10. The system is coupled with an intuitive archiving and reprocessing software.
The technical features of the equipment are as follows:
- Digitisation surface area up to 200 x 200 mm, allowing image capture for chromatographic plates in all formats.
- Three light sources allowing direct illumination of the plates in visible mode and 254 nm and 366 nm ultraviolet mode.
- 1/1.8 digital camera equipped with a CMOS sensor with a 1280 x 1024 pixel resolution and a 5.5 mm 1/1.8 focal lens.
- Dimensions of the device (L x W x H): 250 x 250 x 310 mm
- Weight: 8.80 kilograms
- Power supply voltage: 88 to 264 VAC
- Two USB 2.0 interfaces
- Positioning wedges for the plates with dimensions: 10 x 10 cm, 10 x 20 cm, 20 x 20 cm
- Security: The system has a built-in cutoff device only allowing the ultraviolet tubes to be powered on if the tray is closed, thus ensuring no UV radiation reaches the operator.
