Ciba Inc. confirms that it has received a Statement of Objections from the European Commission concerning an investigation which began in 2003, and relates to companies involved in the heat stabilizer sector. Ciba no longer operates in this field, having sold its PVC heat stabilizer business in 1998. Until the investigation is complete, Ciba will not comment further.
