analytica Vietnam with key players at kick-off event

New trade fair is launched

19-Dec-2008 - Viet Nam

analytica Vietnam, the third spin-off of analytica, opens its doors for the first time on March 18, 2009. In addition to the main analytica event held in Munich, further shows take place on a two-yearly basis in Shanghai, China and in Hyderabad, India. The first event in Vietnam is being organized jointly by the National Centre for Scientific and Technological Information (NACESTI) together with Messe München International (Munich trade fairs International Group) and its subsidiary IMAG (International Fair and Exhibition Service).

analytica Vietnam offers exhibitors an excellent platform for the growing analysis industry in this region and an ideal opening to an as yet relatively untapped market. “So far in Vietnam there has been no suitable trade fair for products and innovations relevant to the fields of analysis, laboratory technology, life sciences, biotechnology, quality control and related areas. The country is, however, in a phase of strong economic growth and offers major potential for the sectors concerned. As such, analytica Vietnam is the first fair of its type to offer the growing Vietnamese analysis industry an appropriate platform,” Klaus Dittrich, Managing Director of Messe München GmbH (Munich International Trade Fairs), explained the company’s move owards establishing itself in the Vietnamese market.

Research and development play a key role in Vietnam. With its support program analytica Vietnam offers participants the opportunity of exchanging knowledge and gaining new insights at a high, international level.

At the analytica Vietnam Conference, which is being organized by the Research Center for Environmental Technology and Sustainable Development (CETASD) of the Hanoi University, international scientists and experts will be presenting their latest research results and developments. The CETASD comprises members of the VASS conference, an important and long-established trade conference in Vietnam addressing issues of current interest in the given sectors. The conference will be focusing on current developments in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food and the environment.

Public and private research institutions alike are being the given the opportunity of obtaining accreditation in accordance with this standard at the one-day workshop being organized under the title of “ISO 17025 – Understanding and Applying”. The main aim of the seminar is to convey to heads of laboratories, chemists and quality managers as well as to managers from the laboratory technology sector the necessary background knowledge and present the strategies that can be employed for implementation of the ISO standard concerned. Moreover, practical examples and exercises will be used to illustrate how critical situations can be handled.
