SMC appoints New PCBTF Product Manager
Special Materials Company announced the appointment of Matt Van Tiem as Product Manager; Paint and coatings / Specialty products.
In his new position, Mr. Van Tiem will be responsible for all SMC's commercial activities related to the supply and management of SMC's VOC exempt solvent, Parachlorobenzotrifluoride (PCBTF), and other chemical specialties, into the paint and coatings market.
Matt has a wealth of experience in the chemical industry and prior to joining SMC he held other sales/management roles with Dow, Huntsman, and Sterling Chemical and Texas Petrochemicals. Establish in 1996, SMC is a global manufacturer and marketer of specialty chemicals. The company is active in the Phosphorous Derivatives market, including phosphorous based flame retardants; Pigment Dispersions and other paper chemistries, Specialty Solvents and chemicals for Paints and Coatings, and Imaging chemicals. SMC is the largest global marketer of Parachlorobenzotrifluoride (PCBTF).
