Girindus sells activities in Kuensebeck to Central Glass
Girindus AG sold its industrial activities at the production site in Halle-Kuensebeck. Acquirer is Central Glass Germany GmbH, an affiliate of Central Glass Co., Ltd., Japan. Central Glass Germany GmbH takes over process development, upscaling, cGMP production of active pharmaceutical ingredients as well as the fine chemical business and all related analytical activities. The works council and the employees at the Künsebeck site have been informed immediately. Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
"With this acquisition we are building the foundation for entering the European market for the contract manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients ", said Masamichi Maruta, Managing Director of Central Glass Germany GmbH.
In addition to maintaining the jobs related to the transferred activities this transaction gives the existing customers continued access to products and services.The separation is associated with a restructuring of the administration functions in Bensberg.
