The Dow Chemical Company Announces Price Increases for Acrylic Emulsion Products

The Dow Chemical Company is increasing the list and off-list prices of its acrylic emulsion products. Effective April 1, 2008, for all North American customers, Dow will increase the price by US$0.04 / wet pound for all UCAR(TM) acrylic, UCAR styrene acrylic, and NEOCAR(TM) acrylic latexes.

This increases applies to all market segments, including , adhesives and sealants, architectural and industrial coatings, construction products and traffic coatings.

According to the companay, this action is precipitated by escalating raw material prices, particularly oil, all of which significantly impact the manufacture of these latex products.>
