Rohm and Haas announces price increase for paint binders and additives

26-Oct-2007

Rohm and Haas announced a general price increase for binders and additives sold to the architectural coatings, industrial coatings, traffic paint, floor care, and construction and building products industries in Europe, Turkey, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. The increase of 5% will be effective December 1, 2007, or as contracts allow.

Cheryl A. Martin, Vice President and General Manager, Paint and Coating Materials, Europe, said, "Rohm and Haas's commitment to its customers and the industry remains our highest priority. We are committed to providing them with the high quality, technically superior and innovative products they expect from us. However, there has been a continued escalation of raw material, energy and freight costs and they remain persistently high. We have tried to absorb these costs internally, but we must now pass a reasonable portion of these increases along to our customers in the form of product price increases."
