Borealis Film and Fibre VP Harald Hammer appointed as CEO of Borouge Pte Ltd

Borealis Film and Fibre Vice President Harald Hammer has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Borouge Pte Ltd as of January 1, 2007, replacing Hubert Puchner. Puchner, who after five years of leading Borouge through a period of strong growth, will take up the post of Executive Vice President of AgroLinz melamine International (AMI) in Linz, Austria, managing the company's global melamine business. He will remain a member of the Borouge Board. Borealis' Director Commercial Excellence Marc Hubert will replace Hammer as Borealis Film and Fibre Vice President and report to David Rolph, Borealis' Executive Vice President polyolefins.

Hammer has extensive experience in the global plastics industry and since April 2002 has been Vice President of the film and fibre business unit at Borealis, Borouge's joint venture co-owner. He joined Borealis in 1998 from PCD of Austria as General Sales Manager for polypropylene when the company was integrated into Borealis. Hammer, 41, holds a degree in economics from the University of Linz, in Austria, and has an MBA from the University of Toronto, in Canada.
