Douglas J. Wetmore elected to Arch Chemicals' Board of Directors
Mr. Wetmore has more than 15 years of experience in the chemicals industry working for IFF, a leading creator and manufacturer of flavors and fragrances used in a variety of consumer products. Following his graduation from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA degree in Accounting, Mr. Wetmore joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a staff accountant and left as a Senior Manager in 1991 to join IFF as Corporate Controller. In 1998, he was named IFF's Chief Financial Officer. He currently manages the Corporate Finance Department at IFF, and is responsible for the Company's investor relations, information technology and global sourcing functions. He also works with the CEO and senior management on IFF's acquisition and business development strategies.
With Mr. Wetmore's election, there are now eight individuals serving on Arch's Board, seven of whom are outside independent directors. In addition to Messrs. Campbell and Wetmore, the board members include Richard E. Cavanagh, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Conference Board, Inc.; H. William Lichtenberger, retired Chairman, Praxair, Inc.; Michael O. Magdol, retired Vice Chairman, Fiduciary Trust Company International; Dr. John P. Schaefer, President, LSST Corporation; Daniel S. Sanders, retired President of ExxonMobil Chemical Company, and Dr. Janice J. Teal, Group Vice President and Chief Science Officer of Avon Products, Inc.
