Huey joins Terra as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Terra Industries Inc. announced today that it has named John W. Huey its Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In this capacity, he is Terra's primary legal and compliance officer, responsible for all aspects of the company's legal affairs, both domestically and internationally.

Huey, 59, holds a B.S. in Business and Accounting and a J.D., Law degree from the University of Kansas. His legal career began in 1972 as an attorney in private practice with a firm in Topeka, Kan. From 1975 to 1978 he was an attorney assigned to the Foods and Snack Division of Borden, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. From 1978 to 2004, Huey worked for Butler Manufacturing Company in Kansas City, Mo., where he ultimately rose to the position of Vice President of Administration, including managing the Human Resource function, and finally to the position of Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. He served most recently in an Of Counsel role with Shughart Thomson & Kilroy, P.C., a large Kansas City law firm.
