"Schott info" now online too
Internet users can now access the German and English editions of the Special glass Magazine " Schott info". The electronic magazine - to start with three issues have been downloaded containing a total of 50 or so articles - provides user stories from around the world and interesting facts about innovations and business news about the technology concern Schott in a functional and user-friendly way appropriate to the media.
In designing the electronic medium emphasis has been placed on uncomplicated and rapid search functions. A simply structured navigator brings users to the item they are looking for without delay: For one thing the topics and items in brief contained in the current issue are listed. For another thing it is possible to carry out searches using search criteria such as typical Schott applications or Schott brands, regions and issues. There are other navigation buttons that enable readers to find out what is in the next issue, to contact the editor, to be added to the distribution list or even to take part in a chat room.
By and large the corporate online magazine uses the Schott web site system, but it does cater for certain media-specific requirements. This benefits all Schott units, web site visitors, customers and journalists.
