Gulbrandsen to Increase Flame Retardant Prices
Gulbrandsen Chemicals Inc. announced that it will increase prices globally for flame retardants used in polyurethane foam manufacturing. The price for CP-2 and other flame retardants will rise by 10% for shipments on or after July 1, or as contracts permit.
Gulbrandsen said that this price increase is necessary to help offset the rapidly increasing raw material costs resulting from energy, transportation and other issues that have had a significant impact on the manufacturing of these products.
CP-2 is a flame retardant used in a wide range of flexible polyurethane foams for residential and automotive seating and the bedding industries.
