Symrise GmbH & Co. will further expand its Nördlingen production site. The Nördlingen production facility specializes in the development and manufacture of flavorings and raw materials for the beverages industry.
Symrise will invest more than EUR 1.5 million in new production facilities as well as laboratory and application technology. In addition, the logistics area will gain additional office space and increase the capacity of its operations area for sending samples.
After ceasing operations at its Würzburger Straße site, an state-of-the-art pilot plant for the extraction and distillation of flavorings will be built in the Anton Jaumann industrial park. Extraction and distillation-separation techniques used to isolate natural flavor components-are two of Symrise's core competencies, and the new production facilities will be used in part to better train junior employees to work with these technologies. The establishment of the new pilot plant will create perfect conditions for developing and manufacturing innovative beverage flavorings to the standards demanded by the industry. The expansion projects are scheduled to be completed in December 2006.
