LANXESS increases prices for hydrazine hydrate
Hydrazine hydrate is used in large quantities in the synthesis of pharmaceutical active ingredients, crop protection agents, dyes and other organic derivatives. It also plays an important role as an anti-corrosion agent and as a raw material in the manufacture of chemical blowing agents for the foaming of thermoplastics and elastomers.
The activated hydrazine hydrate Levoxin® is used to inhibit corrosion in steam generation and heating systems, for example in pressure installations, steam and condensate lines, circulation heating systems or closed cooling systems.
