Terra Industries Inc. releases remaining MCC escrow

Terra Industries Inc. announced that it has released its claims over approximately 1.2 million outstanding Terra common shares, which had been escrowed for indemnification claims in connection with Terra's December 2004 acquisition of Mississippi Chemical Corporation ("MCC"). This release covers the entire amount escrowed for indemnification purposes and discharges Terra's claims over remaining escrowed amounts pursuant to the MCC acquisition. The released shares have been reflected as outstanding in Terra's financial statements since Dec. 31, 2004.
