Bayer to acquire Polythane Systems, Inc.
Bayer MaterialScience LLC is acquiring Polythane Systems, Inc. (PSI) of Spring, Tex., a leading supplier of spray polyurethane foam roofing systems in the United States, the company announced.
The value of the acquisition, expected to be completed by August 31, was not disclosed. Bayer MaterialScience LLC will operate PSI through its wholly owned subsidiary BaySystems North America LLC, and will be retaining the PSI trade names, its 31 employees and facilities. The acquisition includes PSI's Everest Coatings, Inc., which manufactures acrylic elastomeric coatings, polyurea, sealants and primers.
PSI is currently distributing exclusively for GE Silicone's Roofing System. PSI sells to commercial contractors and original equipment manufacturers serving the commercial pipe and specialty construction industries.
