Degussa Opens New Test Facility in Essen
Degussa`s business line Goldschmidt Industrial Specialties, the known market leader for radiation cured silicone release coatings, has invited delegates of the self-adhesive products markets to attend the official opening of their new test facility "RC Technikum" in Essen (Germany). The new facility accomodates a state of the art 500mm coating line which besides UV siliconising of film and papers substrates can also demonstrate PSA inline coating (HMPSA/ UV-HMPSA/ Dispersion Acrylics).
This PSA inline coating capability is unique to a test facility in Europe. More than 100 delegates from the various self adhesive markets have already confirmed their attendance. The self-adhesive label industry is also well represented by several of the well known market players such as label converters, manufacturers of label stock , release liner manufacturers, PSAs, label support material (film and paper), coating & curing equipment equipment. Plus, FINAT`s managing director Jules Lejeune will talk about "New Ideas to Improve the Market Position of Self-Adhesive Labels vs. Competing Decoration Methods". All in all this event underlines Degussa`s long standing commitment to the self-adhesive label industry by bringing in new ideas which now can also be shown in practice at their new test facility.
