Siegfried Group acquires Valverde

The Siegfried Group takes over the Valverde products line from Novartis Consumer Health. Under the trademark, Valverde products are sold in Switzerland, Germany and Spain. Valverde achieved sales of about CHF 6 million in 2004. The purchase price is not disclosed.
Siegfried will integrate the new product line into the Sidroga Division. Sidroga distributes natural medicinal and health products, primarily medicinal and wellness teas, in the Austrian, German and Swiss markets.
The acquisition contains the trademark Valverde and the corresponding product rights, however no personnel or facilities are included. The Siegfried Group sees therefore synergies in the areas of administration and distribution.
