H&R WASAG expands in Australia

H&R WASAG AG is continuing to expand its chemical pharmaceutical specialty business. With effect from April 1, 2005, the company is taking over the specialty activities of ExxonMobil in Australia. With the sale of approx. 15,000 t of wax, white oils and other crude oil based raw materials the new activities represent annual sales of EUR 10 m. The products are sold in Australia and New Zealand.

H&R WASAG has been represented in Australia through its own production facility since mid-2004. This takeover will increase the company's sales volume ''down under'' to EUR 25 m.
