Elemica announced the successful acquisition of the ElastomerSolutions marketplace

Elemica, a global neutral network founded by the world's leading chemical companies to serve buyers and sellers in the global chemicals industry, today announced the successful acquisition of the ElastomerSolutions marketplace. The finalized agreements make six ElastomerSolutions founders new members of Elemica. They are the first companies to formally join Elemica beyond the 22 companies who made the investment that founded Elemica.

The acquisition and agreements bring the benefits of Elemica's technology infrastructure, which includes ERP connectivity, multi-supplier storefronts, and supply chain and logistics solutions, to the first new vertical market segment beyond its initial focus in chemicals. The companies signing new agreements are: Cabot Corporation, Uniroyal Chemical (a Crompton business), DuPont Dow Elastomers, Flexsys, PolyOne Corporation (formerly M.A. Hanna and Geon) and Zeon Chemicals. Bayer and DSM, two founders of ElastomerSolutions, are already Elemica members.
